Spectral Sensing Using a Handheld NIR Module Based on a Fully Integrated Sensor Chip

Near-infrared (NIR) spectroscopy is widely used for the classification of materials and quantification their properties. Today, there a high demand extending use this technique to portable applications, eventually, integration with consumer appliances smartphones. To reach goal, overall size NIR sensor, its production cost, robustness, resistance vibrations are particular importance. This paper describes an approach spectral sensing in (850–1700 nm) using handheld sensor module based on fully integrated multipixel detector array footprint around 2×2 mm2. The capabilities were recently evaluated two application cases: Quantification fat percentage raw milk plastic types. Fat was achieved root mean square error (RMSE) prediction 0.14% types accuracy unknown samples 100%. results demonstrate feasibility direct by which has potential be variety applications.
